Do I need to get a permit to get my fence installed?

Permit requirements vary for each area. We suggest all property owners to check if permits are required by local ordinances. It is the responsibility of the property owner to make Backyard Services aware of any permits. We cannot install fences without the proper permitting in place. Can I just buy the fencing materials and build the fence myself?

No, our fencing products are only available with full-service installation by Backyard Services.

Do I have to request a quote online?

After requesting a quote online, when will someone contact me to schedule an in-home consultation/estimate?

Within 24-48 business hours, an agent will contact you via phone to schedule an in-home consultation appointment with a sales rep in your area.

How long does it typically take to install a fencing system?

It depends on the size of your property, but in most cases we can install fences in 1-2 days; things that may play a role: total footage of fence, fence type, landscape/ground to build on, unforeseen circumstances at time of build, weather, etc.

What is your warranty on labor?

1 year labor warranty

Can you help remove my existing fence?

Do I need to be home during installation?

It is not necessary to be present for every phase of the installation process. We do ask however that you are available to walk with your installer at the beginning to review the plans and upon completion for a final inspection.

I already have a fence installed, but how do I make changes?

Are your fence installers insured?

Absolutely. We require all of our installers to maintain appropriate liability, vehicle and workman’s compensation insurance. In addition, all installers must pass a rigorous background check and complete our training program before becoming certified as a Backyard Services installer.

Should your Backyard Services representatives or installers receive a tip?

It is not a common practice to tip fence installers. Installers are already compensated to install your fence.

Can I purchase a fencing system online?

Unfortunately, not at this time.
